AI Toy Manufacturer for Interactive Plush & Sound Products

We develop and manufacture AI plush toys, interactive companions and sound products for brands worldwide. Electronic engineering and plush manufacturing sit in the same factory, so the speaker, the battery and the pattern are designed together — from concept to mass production.

Product platforms

Four platform families, one manufacturing line.

Each platform can be adapted to a brand’s character, content and packaging. Choose the platform first; the details follow from it.

Plush production line inside the XDT factory

Why XDT

Soft goods and electronics, in one place.

Most toy projects fail at the seam between the soft body and the electronics. The speaker needs volume, the battery needs a cavity, the pattern needs symmetry, and the three requirements arrive from different teams at different times. When they are not resolved together, the first sample looks right and the production run does not.

We manufacture both sides. Pattern making, cutting, sewing and filling sit alongside electronics assembly and testing, which means the internal layout is agreed against a real plush body rather than a drawing of one.

  • Electronics in-house — SMT line, board assembly, functional testing and firmware coordination.
  • Plush in-house — pattern making, cutting, sewing, filling and finishing.
  • Content and audio — recording, multilingual versions and the update path after launch.
  • Export-ready — documentation and test planning for the destination market.

How a project runs

Four stages, each with a document you keep.

Nothing moves to the next stage until the current one is signed off. That is what keeps a sample and a production run describing the same product.

01

Brief & scope

Intended user, target market, content scope and target price. The output is a one-page brief both sides work from — not a slide deck.

02

Design & structure

Pattern, internal layout, electronics placement and material selection. Feasibility and tooling are settled here, before anything is sampled.

03

Sampling & approval

A physical sample with a documented configuration: artwork revision, audio revision, hardware and packaging. The approved sample becomes the production reference.

04

Production & handover

Batch scheduling, in-line inspection against the approved sample, final inspection, and a handover pack covering spares and after-sales.

Engineering

What an AI toy actually needs inside.

An AI plush companion is three products in one: a soft body, a connected device and a content service. Each has constraints, and the project only works when they are designed against each other.

The plush body sets where the speaker, microphone and battery can sit. The electronics set the internal volume available. The service defines what the product can actually say — and for how long.

  • Speaker and microphone placement relative to the plush pattern
  • Battery position, accessibility and charging method
  • Connectivity choice (Wi-Fi, 4G or offline) and its service term
  • Content ownership, languages and the update path after launch
  • Age grading and the assessment required for the target market

Content

Content with a purpose, in the languages your market needs.

Audio is not an afterthought on these products. The scripts, the voice direction, the language versions and the loop behaviour all affect how the product feels in use.

01

Scripts & voice direction

Original scripts written for the intended age range, with pronunciation and pacing reviewed before recording.

02

Language versions

Translated editions are re-recorded, not re-cut — word length, cultural references and pacing change per language.

03

Update path

Whether content can change after launch decides the storage model, the connector set and the service around the product.

Buyer questions

What brands ask before starting.

What is the minimum order for a custom AI plush toy?

MOQ depends on tooling, fabric minimums, electronics and packaging. A project using existing patterns and stocked materials can start lower than one that needs a new plush pattern and a new housing. Ask which of those is currently the constraint — that is the only one worth negotiating.

Can you work from our existing design?

Yes, in both directions. We produce from a completed design package, or develop structure, electronics and materials together with the brand when the concept is not finalised.

What does a sampling cycle look like?

Sampling runs from specification and pattern work through prototype assembly and review. Each stage produces a document the next stage works from, so the sample you approve is the sample that goes to production.

Do you handle certification for export markets?

We prepare the product for the assessment the target market requires and agree the test plan with the brand. Final certification is issued by an accredited laboratory; the applicable standard depends on the product and the destination.

Which markets do you usually ship to?

Most programmes go to the US and the EU, with tooling and packaging adapted per market. Language versions are produced for the destination, not added afterwards.
